Jetstar increases flights from Sydney to HCMC |
Australia’s low cost carrier Jetstar announced it will replace its three Sydney-HCMC flights with five Sydney-Darwin-HCMC flights per week on Airbus A320 starting from September 2.
The new route will maintain the carrier’s existing Sydney-HCMC flights via Darwin with the aim of expanding its operation in Australia’s closest city to Vietnam.
Jetstar Group Commercial General Manager Bruce Buchanan said that the new service will help connect Australia’s southern states with Darwin City as well as develop the city into an northern hub for international flight services.
As of September 2, Jetstar will also launch direct domestic service each week from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide to Darwin and 19 weekly international return services from Darwin to Southeast Asian destinations such as Singapore and HCMC.
The airline plans to commence a Perth-Denpasar (Bali) route with three or four flights per week on Airbus A320 from October 27 and three-time weekly A320 services between Perth and Jakarta from October 28.
